“MediCare” : A complete package of information and access to best healthcare services; a project by ‘SpiderScript’

Introduction:

Let us welcome you to be part of the initiative as we describe our project proposal for ‘MediCare’, a website which will handle users with the utmost care and attention in times of a medical need. We will show you an extensive plan to develop and launch a website that will reduce the heavy toll of finding the best doctors and medicines according to a patient’s needs. 21^st century is the age of digitalization of everything. It is only logical to digitalize our hospitals and pharmacies too.

Problem Statement:

Despite the advancements in technology, traversing the complicated world of healthcare services remains an exhausting task for patients and their folks. They often face numerous problems when they are simply trying to find a doctor and book appointment. People often need to just know the indication of a medicine. The current healthcare system in Bangladesh have failed multiple times as there are many fraud doctors pretending to treat a patient and ultimately making their illness worse than before. In times of a medical emergency, ambulance services and blood banks should be easily and quickly accessible to patients.

Related Works:

There are many sites like DoctorBangladesh, HeliumDoc, WelfareBD, AmbulanceBD etc. They have information about doctors, medicines and ambulances. We want to provide all of them and many more under a single platform where users will get quick services.

Proposed Methodology:

This section outlines the approach and techniques that will be employed to develop a comprehensive healthcare website utilizing HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. The website aims to provide users with access to free checkup sections, information about medicines and doctors, as well as contact details for ambulance services and blood banks.

i) Research design: The development process allows for continuous feedback and clarification. We will be working with both front-end and back-end development techniques and combine them to create user–friendly fully functional website.

ii) Front-end development: We will work with HTML, CSS and JavaScript to create the user interface. We will also focus on creating a fully responsive website which will adapt to different screen sizes.

iii) Back-end development: The database interactions will be implemented using PHP, MySQL and JavaScript.

Then we will integrate the front-end and back-end parts to ensure smooth connection between user interface and server logic.

iv) Test and release: Lastly we will run and test the website to find and fix any bug issues. Then the website can be finally deployed to a web server where it can be further configured for production.

Features:

i) Free Checkups: Diagnostic centers can register and offer free or discounted checkups for patients.

ii) Directory: Vast information about medicines and doctors.

iii)Contact List: Users can find numbers of ambulances, blood banks and hospitals.

iv) Search and Find: Users can search and find medicines by their names, doctors by their names, hospitals and specialization, and hospitals by their locations and names.

v) Blog: There will be a blog section where doctors and pharmacists can register and publish their latest researches, articles about new diseases and medicines, and problems in the medical industry.

vi) Appointment: Users can book appointments with their preferred doctors by registering in the appointment section.

Expected Outcome:

i) Patients will find best hospitals, doctors and book appointments.

ii) In times of confusion, patients can look for indications for a particular medicine.

iii) Patients will be able to arrange blood and ambulance quickly.

iv) Doctors and specialists will get a platform to show their skills and research findings.

v) Diagnostic centers can register so that people will book them for checkups, hence they will get publicity. Also users can gather information about checkup offers.

This medical project has addressed key healthcare challenges by providing comprehensive solutions for patients’ needs. Through innovative approaches and meticulous research, we have demonstrated the potential to significantly improve access to healthcare services and enhance patient outcomes. We hope for a better healthcare system for our country and wish to help improving it by creating helpful websites.
